This safari takes you to two of Kenya’s game sanctuaries: the famous Masai Mara and also get to visit the Great Rift Valley’s Lake Nakuru National Park.You start off at the Masai Mara, Kenya’s most famous and finest game sanctuary. The Mara offers wildlife in such variety and abundance that it is difficult to believe: over 450 species of animals have been recorded here.
Lake Nakuru whose claim to fame is anchored on its flamingo’s and over 400 species of birds found here. This soda lake on the floor of the rift valley is host to millions of flamingos and an important refuge for endangered species- particularly the Rothschild Giraffe and the black and white rhino.
Day 1: Nairobi – Masai Mara Game Reserve
Drive to the Masai Mara Game Reserve offering wonderful scenery and plenty of game. It is perhaps the only region left in Kenya where the visitor may see animals in the same super-abundance as they existed a century ago.
Arrive at your lodge in time for lunch.
Afternoon game drive until sunset.
It is in the Mara that perhaps the most spectacular event of the natural world takes place. This is the annual migration of millions of wildebeest and zebra from the Serengeti (Tanzania) in search of water and pasture. Following on their heels are the predators of the Savannah- lion, cheetah, wild dog, jackal, hyena and vultures.

Day 2: Masai Mara Game Reserve
Whole day in Masai Mara with morning and afternoon game drives.

Don’t forget your check-list and look out for the lions, rhinos, hippos, crocodiles, giraffe, buffalo, warthogs, hyenas, jackals, wild dogs, buffalo, leopard, elephant, many kinds of antelopes, birds and shrubs… and of course, the wildebeests and zebras – the migration hordes!

Day 3: Masai Mara – Lake Nakuru National Park
After breakfast depart to Lake Nakuru National Park through the Rift Valley Escarpment and arrive in time for lunch.
Afternoon drive at the Lake Nakuru National Park situated in the Rift Valley region of Kenya and comprises of the blue-green Lake Nakuru, bushy grasslands and yellow acacia woodlands, the Great Rift Valley Escarpments hills and ridges. The park’s swamps and marshes are home to water birds including the famed pink flamingo and around 450 terrestrial bird species. The buffalo, white rhino, zebra, giraffe, hyena and over 56 mammal species are in abundance. Your stay is in world class lodges such as the spectacular Sarova Lion Hill Lodge or Lake Nakuru lodge. Alternatively you have the option of pitching in special campsites namely Reedbuck, Nyuki, Nyati, Rhino, Soysambu, Chui and Naishi. Public Campsites at Bacpakers and Makalia equally provide additional camping options.

Day 4: Departure
After breakfast drive back to Nairobi, Kenya’s colorful capital city.
